Baby Robbins and stuff

The above images are of the nifty new tree stand that I made over the weekend for the Fids to play on. It consists of PVC piping and cotton twine.

The above is the baby robbins that are in a nest in my neighbors ivy. I am pretty sure that there is 3 in the nest. I was able to take these pictures while the mommy robbin sat only a few feet away. As soon as I was done, she calmly flew back into her nest. There wasn't a sense of urgency to her flight she just fluttered into the nest. I felt honored that she let me near her nest with no fuss. I will do my best to capture images periodically while they grow up.

This is our new cage for Oscar & Odo. It is a side by side that is great for the two of them. Oscar is having a time trying to get used to the new surroundings, but he will get there. This is the cage that I have wanted for at least a year now.

Its not fair!

I hope that he is ok, and that everything works out.

But at the same time, it isn't fair.

We miss him, he was a part of our family.

I didn't get to say a goodbye.

Its official

This Friday, will be Charlie's last day with us. His "mommy" is coming to get him. She has decided that she will take him home. I called her Sunday evening to discuss what should be done considering the fact that it has been over a year and how attached Charlie has become to both of us. However, I am not sure that mattered. We got a message Monday morning stating that she will come and get him. I have set it up for Friday around 6. I cannot express how heartbroken my whole household is.
