Oscar

It is just more than a week later, and here is the picture from the night he came home. He still has some dried blood held firm in his feathers behind his head, but has cleaned up very well. Right before he went into surgery we rescued a trio of ducklings. None of them survived more then the weekend, but they did have a few good days. Here are the pictures from them.

Sunday after Surgery

So it is Sunday after surgery, and Oscar is doing well. He has three little stitches to hold his eye closed, but has cleaned all the excess dried blood off of himself. I took pictures of him when he got home, but haven't uploaded them yet. Just wanted to say that he was ok.

Surgery Tomorrow

Oscars surgery is set for tomorrow, I have called the vets office to confirm as well as make sure that I understand all that I need to do. He is to be there between 9 and 9:15 in the morning, and is not allowed to eat or drink anything after 7 am. I know that it is going to be ok, but at the same time, he is my little guy, and I am worried. I will post tomorrow once we have him back, and I may even take a few after surgery pictures so that everyone can see how disheveled he looks.

Ok, so at this point, Oscar is scheduled for surgery on May 15. I have to drop him off at 9 in the morning, and might be able to pick him up that night if he responds well. So instead if dwelling on the subject, I just want to share some wonderful pictures..
